About the desk

Market and options research.
Structured for
the week ahead.

Weatherfield Capital is a market and options research and trading desk. We produce a weekly market review, at an institutional level. The report is a structured, 30+ page analysis of the equities and the options market built around how a professional desk actually prepares for a trading week.

The framework is consistent across every edition: key news, market sentiment dashboard, prior week's close heat map, deep dive into our watch list, volatility regime review, relevant macro assets, high impact economic news, earnings calendar, weekly expected moves, and sector rotations. The report includes consistent sections, every week. No filler. No narrative for its own sake.

Research is available to subscribers. The full report is published Sunday evening ahead of Monday open.

The framework

How the desk
reads the week.

Every section exists because it answers a question the desk needs answered before taking a position. The structure is the same every week — deliberately. Consistency is what makes it actionable.

01
Regime before direction
VIX zone and GEX structure determine position sizing and structure before any directional view is formed. A Fear Zone + Negative GEX environment requires different trades than a Normal + Positive GEX environment — regardless of what the chart says.
02
Institutional confirmation
Supply and demand zones are cross-referenced against dark pool prints, unusual options activity, and GEX dealer positioning. A level that aligns across all three carries significantly more weight than a technical level alone.
03
Trigger-based execution
The action plan specifies the exact entry trigger, target, stop, and best day for each setup. There is no interpretation required at the point of execution. The setup either triggers or it doesn't.
04
Feedback loop
Every week includes a performance recap comparing actual moves against prior expected move projections. The framework earns its keep by being measured against what actually happened — not just what was predicted.
"

It's not whether you're right or wrong that's important, but how much money you make when you're right and how much you lose when you're wrong.
